A man was found dead and his body wrapped in plastic in Bellevue on August 6.

Yeoville SAPS is investigating a case of murder after the body was found on the corner of Hunter Street and Stuart Drive.
Spokesperson for the station Capt Sifiso Mabizela said officers received a call informing them of the body.
“Police proceeded to the given address. Upon arrival they found the deceased naked and wrapped in plastic.

“Preliminary investigations show that the deceased could possibly have been strangled with a cable tie. It is believed the body was dumped away from where the murder actually took place.
“The deceased is an adult black man. He is dark in complexion and thin. He has well-shaved hair. He is believed to be between the ages of 40 and 50. His mouth was wrapped with a facecloth, which was possibly used to keep him silent.
“We appeal to the public or anyone who reported a case of a missing person fitting the description to come forward and assist with the identification and investigation in this matter,” he said.
